Why read the Book of Enoch?
We have found it to be true that on the Internet one may find many free, valuable research resources.
As with all things in this world, you get what you pay for.
We understood that doubtless the Book(s) of Enoch were written by Enoch.
And we understood that his Great Grandson Noah would have taken Enoch's books with him into the Ark.
Even though typical Protestant organizations throughout history have practiced the process of determining which of the ancient scriptures should be included in their version of the Bible and which ancient documents (books, epistles &cetera) should be excluded in their authorized versions of The Holy Scriptures;
— we are not bound by those "canonization rules" which are the precepts and the doctrines of men;
— as it is written:
"But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.
. . . This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear!... but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men!" [Isaiah 28:11-12, 29:13 KJV]
We know that we are not to be taught by men:
— we are commanded not to rely upon the understanding of others;
— and prohibited from leaning upon the confounded misunderstanding of complete strangers (men who are paid to write books).
Instead Jesus DID tell us: He commands us to Hear and Believe and Obey His words,
and to "wait for the Promise of the Father . . ." as it is written:
"But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." [John 14:26 KJV]
Therefore: we at Inchristi we study the Scriptures and we rely solely upon the Holy Spirit of God, the Spirit of Christ to lead us into all truth.
The bible DOES Say that the Holy Spirit will teach us *ALL Things.*
The bible ALSO DOES Say that we must study the scriptures, as it is wittten: "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." [2 Timothy 2:15 KJV]
The bible DOES NOT Say: "The bible interprets the bible," or "Study what men have written about the scriptures."
That is what the *wisdom of men* teaches us (it is neither written in the Bible ... nor does the Holy Ghost disagree with what the Son of God said above; which is: *vain philosophy by the rudiments of this world* and *the dead theology of unbelievinbg MEN*).
Therefore: When your "pastor" or "bible teacher" tells you THEIR private interpretation of the Holy Scriptures, that "the scriptures interpret the scriptures" then do this.
Say to them: "Show me In the Bible exactly where the bible says that!"
They will not be able to quote the bible exactly, because the Bible Does Not Say That.
What they say that we must do is not in the bible,
Nowhere in the Bible.
Not anywhere!
Never.
Period.
Let us reason with God.
If you were Noah, yes you would have taken the Books of Enoch with you into the Ark, and preserved them for all future generations.
» Wouldn't you have saved the books also?
God made and shaped and designed and anointed Enoch, God made Enoch one of the only two sons of men who never died:
instead they each were either "no more" of "taken away" (Enoch and Elijah).
Is it not true that whatever God made Enoch to see and to "know" (i.e. "to have personally experienced" as head knowledge in the bible is NOT "knowledge")?
God also made Noah to be the only man on the earth to be saved from the Great Judgment of the wicked, with Noah's immediate family.
Because Noah was the last man who was "Perfect in his generations." (Noah was the last man who still pureblooded descendent of Adam and Eve, the only man who did not have any of the bloodlines of "the sons of God" who took wives from "the daughters of men" i.e. those who brought forth giants and the Nephilim, the fallen ones").
